Dr. Boom Panadda Votes Early in Bangkok Parliamentary Election

Bangkok: Dr. Boom Panadda Wongphudee demonstrated her commitment to civic duty by arriving early at Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) 2 School on Nawamin 72 Soi to cast her vote in the parliamentary election and referendum for Constituency 15, Bangkok. Despite her busy schedule, Dr. Boom made it a point to exercise her right to vote, arriving before the polls opened at 7:40 AM to verify her name on the voter list.

According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Boom shared an experience regarding a discrepancy between the candidate's number on the Bueng Kum district office website and the actual list at the polling station. After voting, she expressed her excitement about the election, particularly because it marked her daughter, "Nong Anda"'s, first opportunity to vote. Although "Nong Anda" didn't accompany her mother due to her introverted nature, Dr. Boom anticipated that her daughter would vote later in the day.

Dr. Boom also highlighted her experience with the modern Thai ID app, which she used for the first time during this election. She noted the traditional voting process involving tearing off ballots with a ruler, emphasizing caution against using cameras to photograph candidate numbers. Instead, she suggested writing numbers on one's hand to avoid forgetting. She explained the different colored ballots: green for constituency MPs, pink for proportional representation MPs, and yellow for the referendum, noting the straightforward nature of each.

Observing the election day, Dr. Boom remarked on the large number of early voters, expressing happiness at the enthusiasm displayed. She mentioned the provision of chairs for the elderly or those with disabilities, ensuring comfort and accessibility. Dr. Boom stressed the importance of voting, urging eligible voters to choose the right leaders for the country and to protect their voting rights against any attempts of vote-buying. She encouraged voters to ensure their voices truly reflect their needs.
