Chulaphan Denies Contact Regarding Government Coalition

Bangkok: "Chulaphan" reveals that no one has contacted him about joining the government. Pheu Thai leaders are gradually arriving at the party headquarters to discuss the election results. Jullapan revealed that no one has yet contacted them about joining a coalition government.

According to Thai News Agency, the atmosphere at the Pheu Thai Party headquarters was quiet after the unofficial election results showed the party in third place. Many seats previously held by the party, particularly in the North and Northeast regions, were lost due to the party's losses. Only the media was present to cover the developments. In the afternoon, key leaders began arriving at the party headquarters, including Deputy Party Leader Chusak Sirinil, Party Secretary-General Prasert Chantharawong, and Party leader Phumtham Wechayachai. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the party's head, entered through a back entrance, presumably to discuss the election results.

Then, at 1:59 PM, Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, the party leader and prime ministerial candidate of the Pheu Thai Party, arrived at the party headquarters before revealing that today's visit was merely for discussions. When asked whether he had been contacted about joining the government, Mr. Chulaphan said that there had been no discussions and he would not give an interview at this time.

Later, at 2:12 PM, Mr. Suriya Jungrungruangkit, the Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate and election director, arrived at the party headquarters and briefly stated that people should wait for discussions among the party leaders. Regarding the news that the Bhumjaithai Party will invite the Pheu Thai Party to join the government, Mr. Suriya said, "Wait a moment. Once I have clear information, I will let you know."
