Polling Stations Reopen in Ban Huai Yang for Re-Election Amidst New Staff and Continued Voter Engagement

Ban huai yang: Polling stations have reopened in Ban Huai Yang, Moo 4, Udon Thani, and citizens are gradually casting their votes. A new polling station has been established in Ban Huai Yang, Village 4, Phon Sung Subdistrict, Chaiyawan District, Udon Thani Province, where voters have been arriving since morning to participate in the electoral process.

According to Thai News Agency, the Director of the Udon Thani Provincial Election Commission disclosed that the staff at the polling station is entirely new, ensuring a fresh approach to the electoral process. The pink ballots being used remain consistent with those from previous elections. The polling station, designated for a re-election under the party-list system, witnessed the diligent preparation of the venue by the newly appointed staff since early morning.

At 8:00 AM, the polling stations opened their doors to the public. Voters, media, and observers were present as the first ballot was cast by Mrs. Long Pakdipanya, a 73-year-old citizen. With the aid of her cane, Mrs. Long made her way to the polling station, expressing her long-standing commitment to participating in every election and her satisfaction in exercising her voting rights once again.

Ms. Samihra Decha-angkul, the Director of the Election Commission for Udon Thani Province, visited the site to ensure the election process was proceeding smoothly. She noted that the situation was orderly, with election officials fully trained despite being new personnel. For this particular polling station, there are 730 eligible voters, an increase from the 440 who participated in the previous election. Ms. Decha-angkul expressed confidence that vote counting would commence promptly after the polls close.
