Bangkok: The program for installing solar panels at home has begun, offering tax deductions up to 200,000 baht. The initiative aims to encourage homeowners to adopt renewable energy solutions by lessening the financial burden associated with the installation of solar panel systems.

According to Thai News Agency, the Royal Gazette announced an exemption from income tax for the cost of purchasing and installing solar panel systems for residential homes. Homeowners can use this expense as a tax deduction, with a maximum limit set at 200,000 baht. The exemption period is effective from March 3, 2026, to December 31, 2028, providing a substantial window for interested individuals to take advantage of the tax benefits.
