Anutin Charnvirakul Highlights the Honor of Being an MP as Concerns Over Middle East Unrest Rise

Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, emphasized the honor of serving as a Member of Parliament by tapping his MP certification letter on his head three times, a gesture symbolizing the trust and responsibility bestowed upon him by the people.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin personally received his certificate as a list-based MP and was warmly welcomed by several party members, including Mr. Thanagorn Wangboonkhongchana, Mrs. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Mr. Santi Promphat, Mr. Supachai Jaisamut, and other Bhumjaithai Party MPs. After signing for the certificate, Anutin performed the symbolic gesture before departing the Election Commission office to report to Parliament.

Anutin expressed his contentment at being chosen to represent the Thai people and pledged to uphold the trust they have placed in him. He emphasized the importance of not exacerbating current issues and urged for mindfulness and constructive problem-solving. Anutin also highlighted the pressing issues he aims to address, particularly the unrest in the Middle East, which poses potential impacts on Thailand. He assured that measures will be sought to mitigate any adverse effects on Thai citizens.

Regarding the formation of the cabinet, Anutin called for patience, indicating that the process is unfolding as planned. He refrained from commenting on the finalization of cabinet positions, offering only a laugh before departing the scene.
