According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Sabida Thaiseth discussed the Prime Minister's vision to integrate the Ministry of Tourism with the Ministry of Culture. She noted that discussions have already taken place, with the Prime Minister recognizing Thailand's vast cultural assets that remain underutilized. The plan is to leverage the tourism sector to better connect and promote the culture, leading to the proposed merger of the two ministries.
Ms. Sabida mentioned that the implementation is expected to proceed swiftly, with a target completion within six months as per discussions with the Prime Minister. However, she emphasized that the practical process requires on-site assessment due to its complexity.
