The Hollywood Vampires Sued Over Sudden Concert Cancellation

Bratislava: The Hollywood Vampires are facing legal action after abruptly canceling a concert in Slovakia, leaving fans and organizers without refunds. The rock band, which includes legendary artists Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, and Joe Perry, is being sued by the concert organizers who were left in the lurch.

According to Thai News Agency, the organizers filed a lawsuit in federal court in Texas, focusing on the cancellation of a July 2023 concert set to take place at the Olympic Stadium in Slovakia. They had invested approximately $277,000 (about 9 million baht) in advance payments for the event. The band called off the show, citing safety concerns that could potentially impact both the performers and the audience. Additionally, it is speculated that Johnny Depp's health issues might have influenced the decision.

Recently, lawyers representing The Hollywood Vampires requested the dismissal of the case, contending that the Texas court does not have jurisdiction over the matter. Despite the ongoing legal battle, the band has plans for a concert tour in 2026, with the first performance scheduled for August. As the legal proceedings continue, a final decision has yet to be reached.
