Nikorn Chamnong Moves Up Bhumjaithai Party-List to Become MP


Bangkok: Nikorn Chamnong expressed his gratitude to Sabida Thaiseth for her promotion to Member of Parliament after she called him following her resignation from the party-list system. Nikorn, who is now set to report to Parliament on April 8, has been elevated to the position of MP.



According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Nikorn Chamnong, who was a prospective MP on the Bhumjaithai Party’s party-list, shared that Ms. Sabida Thaiseth, the Minister of Culture, ranked 5th on the Bhumjaithai Party’s party-list, submitted her resignation as an MP on April 2. Her resignation was intended to facilitate her immediate assumption of the Minister of Culture role. Consequently, on April 3, the Royal Gazette published an announcement from the House of Representatives that promoted Nikorn from his previous position at number 20 on the party-list to become an MP.



Nikorn expressed his appreciation to Ms. Sabida for notifying him of her resignation, which paved the way for his advancement. He confirmed his plans to report to Parliament on April 8 at 9:00 AM, where he will take the oath of office during the parliamentary session. Following his oath, he intends to commence his responsibilities as a Member of Parliament immediately, fulfilling the duties entrusted to him by the people.



In his statement, Nikorn extended his gratitude to the electorate who supported the Bhumjaithai Party, the party leader, the executive committee, fellow MPs, and all party members for providing him with this significant opportunity.
