King Bestows Gifts to Injured Paramilitary Soldiers in Southern Unrest

Bangkok: His Majesty the King bestowed vases and gift baskets upon paramilitary soldiers injured in the unrest in the South. His Majesty the King graciously instructed the Governor of Songkhla Province to present a vase of flowers and a basket of gifts as royal gifts to military rangers who were injured in the unrest in Narathiwat Province. According to Thai News Agency, at Songkhla Nakarin Hospital in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, His Majesty the King graciously appointed Mr. Ratsasart Chidchu, Governor of Songkhla Province, as his representative to present a vase of flowers and a basket of gifts from His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen to three injured rangers from the 49th Ranger Regiment Task Force: Sergeant Supanat Phromsutthi, the team leader of the 4901st Ranger Company; Volunteer Ranger Anawil Jindaphan; and Volunteer Ranger Pongthorn Aksornngern. They were injured in an ambush while on duty in Ban Air La Kho (or Ban Iso sub-village), Village No. 5, Chang Phueak Subdistrict, Chanae District, Narathiwat Province, on April 4, 2026. All three are under close medical care. This act of royal benevolence has brought immeasurable joy and gratitude to the injured and their families. It serves as a vital source of encouragement and morale for officials performing their duties in the southern border provinces.
