Washington: White House press secretary Caroline Levitt revealed on Friday that she is preparing for maternity leave, indicating to reporters that this may be her last press briefing for a while as her due date draws near. She assured the press that the White House staff will manage media communications effectively during her absence.
According to Thai News Agency, Levitt, 28, informed reporters of her personal situation, stating that she is expecting soon and confirmed she will return to see everyone shortly. She also humorously mentioned the close relationship between the media and the president, noting that in addition to her capable team, all reporters have the president's personal phone number, ensuring a continuous flow of statements and news from the White House, even during her leave.
Levitt announced her pregnancy on December 26, 2025, stating that she is expecting a daughter, due in May. She added that she still has weekend commitments before officially taking leave.
