Registration Opens for Mobile Vendor Trucks in Nationwide Initiative

Bangkok: Registration for "mobile vendor trucks" is open from May 1-7, to distribute goods to communities across Thailand.

According to Thai News Agency, the initiative, named "Thai Helps Thai," is a collaborative effort between Sukjee and the Department of Provincial Administration. The program aims to open 878 districts nationwide as points of sale for affordable goods. This effort is intended to reduce the cost of living for citizens and to promote SME and community products by providing them better access to markets. The initiative will soon enter its next phase, which involves deploying mobile vendors to distribute goods directly to communities across the country.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, Ms. Supajee Suthamphan, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, stating that the "Thai Helps Thai" initiative will significantly contribute to making goods more affordable for the public. Furthermore, it will support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and community products by helping them reach a broader market. Surveys have indicated that over 30,000 parties are interested in participating, and they are currently undergoing a selection process. Registration for the program is set from May 1st to 7th, during which qualified vendors will be chosen. Additionally, the government plans to assist these mobile vendors with transportation costs by providing fuel cards.
