Futurium’s ‘Job World’ Zone Empowers Thai Youth for Global Careers

Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Yotsanulok Wongsawat, recently took his family on an enlightening visit to Futurium, the Future Innovation Center in Khlong Ha. This cutting-edge educational hub is the most modern learning landmark in ASEAN, designed to foster human resource development through innovation and technology. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Wongsawat and his family dedicated over half a day to exploring the center's seven highlight zones. Among these, the Innovation World zone captivated their attention, offering interactive systems that teach young minds to utilize technology for real-world problem-solving. This zone features key highlights such as Transportation Innovation, showcasing smart city systems; Robotics and Automation Innovation, where visitors can try their hand at simulated surgical procedures; and Disaster Management Innovation, which includes crisis simulation rooms for training in survival skills. The center al so explores Alternative Energy Innovations, Smart Agricultural Innovations, Biotechnology and Nanotechnology Innovations, and Space and Aviation Innovations. Each zone presents complex scientific concepts in an accessible and engaging manner. A major attraction was the 'Job World' zone, where children aged 9-18 participated in a 90-minute workshop. This interactive experience allowed them to explore 27 dream professions, from robotics engineer to eco-friendly chef. The workshop aims to inspire youth by demonstrating the practical application of science in various career paths. Mr. Yotsanu Manjai expressed confidence in Futurium's ability to motivate Thai children, comparing it favorably to similar centers abroad. He highlighted the center's role in making scientific concepts understandable and fun, with the Job World zone clearly illustrating how knowledge can lead to rewarding careers. Mr. Manjai encouraged families to visit Futurium, believing it will inspire Thai youth to compete globally with pride. Du ring the visit, Mr. Wongsawat also engaged in discussions with officials from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation and related parties. These discussions, led by prominent figures such as Suksit Srijomkhwan and Danuphorn Punnakant, focused on developing learning spaces that are accessible and enjoyable for all ages.
