Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Interior Considers Fundraising Permissions for Six Agencies

Bangkok: The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior chaired a meeting to consider granting permission to six agencies to conduct fundraising activities for public benefit.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Arsit Sampanrat, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, led the second meeting of the Fundraising Control Committee for 2026. The meeting was attended by Police Lieutenant Colonel Singkham Khamyod, Director of the Investigation and Legal Affairs Division, Department of Provincial Administration, alongside other committee members and representatives from government agencies such as the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Defence, and the Royal Thai Police.

During the meeting, the committee evaluated applications from six organizations seeking permission to conduct fundraising activities under the Fundraising Control Act. The applications included the Stock Exchange of Thailand Foundation, which aims to support societal and environmental development; Siriraj Foundation, which focuses on stroke awareness and treatment support; and the Sustainable Energy Foundation, which seeks to aid educational development and resource efficiency.

Additionally, the Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals intends to improve animal welfare, while the Foundation for Drug Addiction Rehabilitation plans to support drug-related probation cases. The C.C.F. Foundation for Children and Youth, under royal patronage, aims to assist underprivileged children in various sectors.
