Nakhon pathom: The Director-General of the Provincial Administration has issued a directive for district chiefs across the nation to enforce strict discipline among village headmen and sub-district chiefs. This action follows serious disciplinary violations involving the village headman of Don Yai Hom.
According to Thai News Agency, the Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration is expediting an investigation into the case of "Kamnan Don Yai Hom," who is implicated in a shooting incident that occurred on May 12, 2026, in front of an entertainment venue in Sanam Chan Subdistrict. The headman in question is Mr. Khomsak Kaewsang of Don Yai Hom Subdistrict, Mueang Nakhon Pathom District, Nakhon Pathom Province.
Mr. Narucha Khosasilvilai, Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration, has urged the Nakhon Pathom Provincial and District Administration Offices to adhere to all relevant regulations and laws. There is a call for the committee investigating the serious disciplinary offenses to expedite evidence collection and conclude the investigation swiftly to ensure transparency and fairness to all parties involved.
In response, Mr. Chotipong Plengwitaya, the District Chief of Mueang Nakhon Pathom, has suspended the sub-district head of Don Yai Hom from duty pending the outcome of the investigation and disciplinary proceedings.
The Director-General has also instructed district chiefs nationwide to maintain strict supervision over village heads, sub-district heads, and other administrative officials. They are to strictly adhere to legal and ethical standards, with decisive action required against any misconduct to uphold the integrity and public trust in the administrative sector.
