According to Thai News Agency, the Department of Provincial Administration, under the Ministry of Interior, initiated activities supporting the project simultaneously across district offices nationwide. This effort seeks to implement a policy focused on assisting citizens by lowering living costs and increasing access to quality consumer goods at affordable prices through a network of mobile food trucks. These trucks are instrumental in distributing goods comprehensively to various communities.
The launch ceremony was led by Mr. Narucha Khosasilvilai, Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration, who was joined by Mr. Ekawit Meepian, Governor of Pathum Thani Province, alongside government officials, local administrative leaders, village headmen, private sector representatives, media, and local residents.
The Director-General emphasized that the objective of this initiative is to drive government policy forward through a collaboration involving the Department of Provincial Administration, the Department of Internal Trade under the Ministry of Commerce, and Thailand Post from the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society. This collaboration aims to distribute essential goods at affordable prices via the mobile vendor network, effectively reaching people in villages and communities across the nation.
In the Sam Khok district, more than 10 mobile vendors joined the project, selling essential consumer goods at special prices to alleviate financial burdens on the public. The event also garnered support from modern wholesale and retail stores as well as local community enterprises, which offered a variety of affordable products.
Following the launch, the Director-General and his team visited the "Thai Helps Thai" product booths and engaged with mobile vendors. They participated in the launch of the mobile vendor convoy and joined them in selling products within the Bang Toey community of Sam Khok District in Pathum Thani Province.
