Rome: Yannick Sinner defeated Casper Ruud in straight sets to win the Rome Masters, becoming only the second player in history to achieve a Golden Masters title. The world number one from Italy showed no signs of stopping, dominating Casper Ruud of Norway in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 in the men's singles final of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament, the 'Internazionali BNL d'Italia,' in Rome, Italy.
According to Thai News Agency, Sinner triumphed in front of his home fans, clinching the championship and setting a new arecord as the second and youngest player in history to win all nine ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, or the "Carrier Golden Masters."
Besides Sinner, the only other tennis player to achieve a Career Golden Masters is Novak Djokovic, the veteran Serbian player. However, by the time "Nole" won all nine Masters titles, he was already 31 years old, or 7 years older than Sinner.
