Thai Women’s Volleyball Team Prepares in Osaka to Tackle USA

Osaka: The Thai women's national volleyball team is undergoing intensive training sessions in Osaka, Japan, as they gear up for the final week of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League 2026. Coach Kiattipong Ratchatagriangrai, affectionately known as "Ott," expressed satisfaction with the team's initial training session, highlighting the players' discipline, excellent physical condition, and the absence of injuries or illnesses.

According to Thai News Agency, the training regimen has been meticulously structured into three key components. The team began by revisiting their fundamental skills, including serving, receiving, and offense. This was followed by strategic preparation tailored to counter the US national team; the focus here was on analyzing the opponent's strengths and adapting Thailand's unique playing style accordingly. To ensure peak performance, the session concluded with a fitness program designed by the coaching staff, encompassing an hour of weight training to maintain physical fitness.

In anticipation of their upcoming match, the Thai national team is scheduled to practice on the actual competition court the following day. This session aims to fine-tune technical details and solidify game plans before their first encounter against the United States women's volleyball team, set for Wednesday, July 8th, at 1:30 PM Thailand time.
