MCOT Congratulates MRTA on Landmark 34th Anniversary Event

Bangkok: The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) marked a significant milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Cancer Institute, aiming to establish a cancer screening center. The center, expected to open by the end of 2027, is projected to serve 60,000 users annually. As MRTA celebrated its 34th anniversary, MCOT (Modernine TV) extended its congratulations.

According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, along with Minister of Public Health, Mr. Pattana Promphat, presided over the lease agreement signing for a multi-purpose building at the MRTA station of the Orange Line electric train project, which runs from the Thailand Cultural Centre to Min Buri (Suwinthawong). The project aims to reduce cancer deaths by 30% over 30 years and is slated for completion by the end of 2027.
