Border Patrol Police Intensify Recovery Efforts in Flood-Affected Nan Province

Nan: Border Patrol Police are accelerating recovery efforts in flood-affected areas of Nan province, continuously assisting residents in cleaning their homes. "The water has receded, but the police mission is not over."

According to Thai News Agency, Police General Kittirat Phanphet, the Commissioner General of the Royal Thai Police, has ordered all relevant units to provide full support and assistance to the flood-affected areas, in accordance with the Royal Thai Police's disaster prevention and mitigation plan. He also instructed them to continuously monitor the situation and provide care for the public until the situation returns to normal.

Throughout the flooding period, Pol. Lt. Gen. Rungroj Thakoonpunyasiri, Commander of the Border Patrol Police (BPP), mobilized Border Patrol Police officers to assist people in high-risk areas, support evacuations, ensure security, and organize disaster response teams and disaster relief volunteers. These teams coordinated operations with the Nan Provincial Incident Command Center to provide timely and effective assistance to the public.

As water levels began to recede, the Border Patrol Police's mission shifted from emergency assistance to area recovery. They deployed disaster relief volunteers from Border Patrol Police Company 325 and Border Patrol Police Region 3 to help residents clean their homes, wash away mud, move damaged belongings and property, and provide ongoing relief to affected families.

Simultaneously, personnel are being deployed to closely monitor the water situation and terrain conditions, in order to be prepared to provide immediate assistance to the public should a similar situation recur or if any area requires further assistance.

The Royal Thai Police and Border Patrol Police have confirmed their continued commitment to caring for the public, from the initial response and relief efforts to post-flood recovery, so that people can return to normal life as quickly as possible.

"The floodwaters have receded, but the police's mission is not over. The police are ready to stand by the people until the situation returns to normal."
