Ratch Group Allocates 10 Billion Baht for Expansion in Thailand and Indonesia

Bangkok: Ratch Group is gearing up for substantial investments in Thailand and Indonesia, earmarking a budget of 10 billion baht. The company has unveiled its strategic plan aimed at organizational growth by 2026, with a focus on increasing EBITDA by 15,000 million baht and ensuring that renewable energy constitutes at least 15% of total revenue.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Nithat Voraponpipat, the Group Chief Executive Officer and President of Ratch Group Public Company Limited, highlighted the progress made in the past six months under the company's strategic framework. This includes enhancements in asset management, particularly at the Ratch Energy Rayong Power Plant and Ratch Cogeneration Power Plant. By integrating artificial intelligence for predictive maintenance systems, the company aims to improve efficiency, reduce risks of emergency shutdowns, and lower operational costs.

On the investment front, Ratch Group is preparing to invest in new power plant projects in alignment with Thailand's power generation development plan. The company is eyeing opportunities in renewable energy, including solar, wind, and biomass power plants, as well as natural gas power plants to support the country's power system stability. Additionally, Ratch Group is exploring investment avenues in Indonesia, focusing on projects like the expansion of the Paitan power plant in East Java and new ventures in Batam.

In the digital sector, Ratch Group has successfully ventured into providing electricity to data centers. Subsidiaries such as Ratchaphathana Energy Co., Ltd. and the Navanakorn Power Plant have secured power purchase agreements with data centers in Chonburi and Navanakorn Industrial Estate. The company is also advancing in a Sustainable Aviation Fuel project in Turkey and developing new business models for the Ratchaburi power plant area.

Mr. Nithat emphasized the company's commitment to its strategic direction for economic growth, with a goal of achieving an EBITDA of 15 billion baht. The company has allocated significant investments for existing and new projects, reflecting progress in its project pipeline and dedication to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
