Phnom Penh: The Prime Minister and his spouse are set to embark on an official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia from April 23-24, 2025. This visit, at the invitation of Prime Minister Hun Manet, is part of the celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of Thai-Cambodian diplomatic relations.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister, along with Mr. Pitak Suksawat, her spouse, will participate in the official visit. The delegation will include key figures such as Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport; Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Mr. Maris Sengiampong, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labor; and Mr. Chalermchai Sri-on, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.
The Prime Minister's itinerary features an official welcome ceremony at the Prime Minister's Office of Cambodia, followed by a full discussion with the Cambodian Prime Minister. Both leaders will preside over the logo unveiling ceremony for the 75th anniversary and witness the signing of significant documents.
In addition, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and President of the Privy Council of Cambodia. She will also meet Samdech Prasat Samdech Khuan Sodary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, and will have an audience with His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia.
This visit marks the Prime Minister's first official trip to Cambodia and aims to strengthen relations and cooperation between Thailand and Cambodia. The focus will be on security, cross-border problem-solving, economic and development cooperation, people-to-people relations, and regional collaboration.
