Narumon Denies Klatham Party Affiliation with Any Political Party

Bangkok: Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives and leader of the Klatham Party (KPT), has firmly stated that the Klatham Party is not affiliated with any other political party. She emphasized the party's commitment to expanding its influence and strength independently. The party aims to focus on key sectors, including agriculture and education, to contribute to national development. Mrs. Narumon highlighted the role of Mr. Preeda Boonpleng, MP for the Klatham Party list, in advancing the party's agenda alongside more than 50 civil servant teachers nationwide, ensuring readiness for any upcoming elections.

According to Thai News Agency, when questioned about Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the Prachachon Party, and his statement about MPs possibly switching to the Klatham Party, Mrs. Narumon described it as a personal opinion. She reaffirmed the Klatham Party's respect for all potential collaborators, indicating that the party is not interested in political games but is open to those who share its ideology. The party's primary goal is the welfare of the people, not its own benefit.

Mrs. Narumon further expressed that the party is committed to addressing public grievances, regardless of political alignment, continuing efforts initiated during Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao's tenure. She believes if all politicians worked similarly, it would greatly benefit the populace.

Addressing speculation about the party's possible connections with former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and discussions regarding party transfers of former members of the Pheu Thai Party, Mrs. Narumon reiterated that the Klatham Party remains independent. She clarified that recent affiliations with individuals like Capt. Anudit Nakornthap and Karun Hosakul were based on shared ideologies, not external influences. Mrs. Narumon concluded by stating that interactions with Thaksin were a matter of respect for past associations rather than political alignment.
