This development comes in the wake of a postponed mobile cabinet meeting initially scheduled for June 23-24 in Phitsanulok Province, which aims to pave the way for the establishment of a new cabinet.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister Paethongtarn has scheduled a temporary leave from her official duties on June 13, from 11:30 to 13:00. This break follows her role as the chairwoman at the closing ceremony of the 2025 World Ambassadors and Consuls General Conference. During this period, the Prime Minister is expected to attend a meeting of parents, after which she will resume her work at Government House in the afternoon.
Reports indicate that the Prime Minister plans to invite certain coalition party leaders to discuss the cabinet reshuffle. This meeting will address ongoing negotiations concerning ministerial positions between the Pheu Thai and Bhumjaithai parties. It will also tackle internal issues within the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, aiming to bring clarity to the political landscape.
Furthermore, the Cabinet Secretariat has announced the postponement of the official cabinet meeting outside the office, known as the mobile cabinet meeting, in Phitsanulok Province. The decision to delay the meeting underscores the need to resolve political uncertainties associated with the cabinet reshuffle before proceeding.
