AMLO Seizes Over 10 Billion Baht in Assets from International Crime Network

Bangkok: The Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) transaction committee has resolved to seize and freeze assets of Chen Zhi, Kok An, and the Ben Smith network, totaling over ten billion baht.

According to Thai News Agency, the AMLO has taken significant action against a transnational criminal organization involved in technology crimes and scams. In an operation covering four major cases, a total of 289 assets have been seized and frozen, with an estimated value of 10.165 billion baht.

In the case involving Mr. Chen Zhi and his associates, 102 assets, including land, cash, branded goods, and jewelry, were seized, amounting to approximately 373 million baht. Mr. Chen Zhi is known as the founder and chairman of Prince Holding Group.

For Mr. Kok An and his associates, the Transaction Committee ordered the seizure of 90 assets, including land and bank account funds, totaling around 467 million baht. The crackdown also targeted Ms. Tangthai and her associates, who were linked to transactions involving Mr. Leak YIM and Mr. Ben Smith. The committee seized 66 assets such as land, condominiums, securities, and bank deposits, valued at approximately 9,279 million baht.

Furthermore, in the case of Mr. Ua-Angkun and his associates, who were involved in fraudulent stock trading invitations through a Line group called "Investment Strategy," 31 assets including cash and bank funds totaling approximately 46 million baht were seized.
