Anutin Expresses Concerns Over Bueng Kan By-Election Despite Single Candidate

Bueng Kan: “Anutin” Charnvirakul, the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has expressed his concerns over the upcoming by-election in Constituency 2, Bueng Kan Province. Despite having only one candidate, Anutin admits to losing sleep over the election, emphasizing the importance of continued campaigning to ensure voter turnout and support.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin highlighted the significance of maintaining momentum in the campaign even though the party’s candidate, Ms. Onuma Boonsiri, is running unopposed and has secured the number 1 spot. Anutin stressed the need for no abstentions and for voter turnout to meet necessary criteria, underscoring that complacency is not an option. He mentioned the necessity of a leading figure, metaphorically referred to as a monk, to guide the campaign efforts.

In his role as leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, Anutin plans to personally engage with the constituency to bolster confidence and connect with the electorate. The campaign strategy involves presenting the party’s policies to the people and seeking their votes of confidence, reinforcing the commitment to active and effective governance.
