Bhumjaithai Party Excludes Bowornsak Uwanno from Anutin’s Second Cabinet

Bangkok: "Bovornsak" will not continue in "Anutin's Cabinet 2," with attention focused on a "new legal expert" to replace him. A report from the Bhumjaithai Party reveals that after party leaders provided documents for prospective ministers to fill out their personal information and submitted them to the Cabinet Secretariat at Government House on March 23, 2026, the name of Deputy Prime Minister for Legal Affairs, Bowornsak Uwanno, was not included in the list of ministers representing the Bhumjaithai Party.

According to Thai News Agency, previously, there were reports that Mr. Bowornsak Uwanno had informed Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul that he wished to decline the position of Deputy Prime Minister, as well as all other positions in the new government.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the "Anutin 2" cabinet may see the inclusion of highly skilled legal experts who might resign from government service to join the government. News reports indicate that Pakorn Nilapraphan, the current Secretary-General of the Council of State and a close associate of Meechai Ruchupan and Wissanu Krea-ngam, has already had his qualifications checked.
