Buriram: Ekniti, Supajee, and Sihasak, key members of the Bhumjaithai Party's advisory team, recently convened with MPs to outline their strategic plans aimed at enhancing Thailand's global competitiveness and addressing economic challenges. The meeting, held at the "Speak and Act Plus" event at Chang International Circuit, focused on the implementation of the 10 Plus policy and strategies to navigate the impacts of international conflicts.
According to Thai News Agency, the session featured Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanpraphas, Minister of Commerce Supajee Suthamphan, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkaew. They emphasized the importance of the 10 Plus economic policies in driving Thailand's growth and maintaining competitiveness on the global stage. Ekniti likened the strategic efforts to a racing team led by the Prime Minister, aiming to make Thailand a world champion in economic progress.
Ekniti further highlighted the policy's focus on debt reduction for small business owners and the elderly, as well as promoting investment in green businesses to ensure sustainable growth. He assured MPs of the government's readiness to tackle economic challenges, including those stemming from Middle Eastern conflicts, with contingency plans for stabilizing oil and commodity prices.
Supajee shared her commitment to supporting the party's goals and urged MPs to actively contribute to governmental initiatives that enhance Thailand's global standing. She addressed the current uncertainties in the Middle East and emphasized the need for public confidence in the government's ability to manage commodity prices and transportation challenges, particularly through the Cape of Good Hope.
Supajee also discussed strategies for managing fertilizer supplies, including potential collaborations with Malaysia and Brunei, and addressed the implications of the revised US tax rate on Thailand's economy. She outlined plans to optimize agricultural production by converting traditional crops to cash crops and enhancing wholesale market management.
Sihasak underscored the urgency of revitalizing Thailand's foreign policy, especially amid global turbulence and policy shifts by major powers like the United States. He stressed the importance of maintaining national dignity and interests in international relations, while preparing for urgent challenges such as evacuating citizens from conflict zones.
Sihasak called for active parliamentary involvement in driving foreign policy initiatives and urged MPs to support measures that elevate Thailand's international standing. He emphasized the need for a robust foreign policy to navigate the complexities of the global arena and ensure Thailand's strategic interests are protected.
