Manchester:Jamie Carragher and Wayne Rooney have united in criticism of Lisandro Martinez following his recent comments about Manchester United's management. Carragher, a well-known football pundit, labeled Martinez's interview as "terrible," urging the defender to focus on his own declining performance first. Similarly, club legend Rooney described Martinez's remarks as "completely disrespectful" to the club.
According to Thai News Agency, the incident occurred after Manchester United's 0-2 loss to Atletico Madrid, during which the team was reduced to 10 men. Martinez launched a verbal attack on the club's board, particularly targeting technical director Jason Wilcox, for insufficient summer transfer investments. This was despite the club's expenditure of over £155 million on four major signings following their third-place finish in the Premier League last season.
Carragher emphasized that Martinez should reflect on his own performance, as the Argentinian defender's early season form has been poor.
