Central Pattana Collaborates to Enhance Thai Youth Development Platform

Bangkok: Central Pattana Public Company Limited announced a collaboration with various partners to upgrade the Better Future Project Year 5 under the concept of 'My Near Future,' creating a platform to develop Thai youth through a sustainability idea competition spanning all regions, via various activities.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chanawat Euwattanasakul, President and CEO of Central Pattana Public Company Limited, stated that the world is currently facing major challenges including the climate crisis, the energy crisis, and rapidly changing consumer behavior. Therefore, Central Pattana is moving forward under the vision of 'A Future-Led Ecosystem' to develop future cities that grow alongside communities, society, and the environment. Continuing the 'Better Futures Project' into its 5th year, in collaboration with national and global partners, the company aims to develop Thai youth to become a driving force for the country's sustainable future.

Andreas Rottger, the European Union's Foreign Policy Chief for Thailand, stated that the Youth and Media Changemakers Project for Responsible Business aims to empower youth to promote responsible and transparent business practices. The European Union is pleased to invite everyone, including Thai youth, to collaborate in translating global aspirations into tangible results at the local level.

Ms. Uthaiwan Anuchitnukul, Managing Director, Excellence and Sustainable Development Division, Central Pattana Public Company Limited, stated that the Better Futures Project, over the past five years, has been a 'Platform for Change' connecting the power of various sectors to collectively drive sustainability into daily life. She emphasized that young people have the power and ideas to create change, but they lack the space to experiment and take action. This year, opportunities are being opened for youth across the country, across five regions, to brainstorm and develop ideas based on the United Nations' SDGs. The project will guide young people through the process of discovering insights, developing Youth-Led Solutions with experts and partners, and further developing these ideas into businesses to create a real impact on society. Roadshows will be held in all five regions of Thailand to provide spaces for youth to brainstorm, act, and drive SDGs from the real-world contexts of their communities, culminatin g in a Final Showcase at CentralWorld in October. Each region will receive different SDG challenges.
