Chada Thaiset Joins Prime Minister in Relief Effort for Southern Flood Victims

Hat yai: Chada Thaiset, Uthai Thani MP and Chief Government Whip, has dispatched flat-bottomed boats and jet skis to support the Prime Minister's team in aiding flood victims in the southern regions. Chatcha's initiative highlights the urgency of the situation and the need for rapid relief measures in the affected areas.

According to Thai News Agency, Chada Thaiset traveled to Hat Yai District in Songkhla Province alongside the Prime Minister to deliver essential aid to those impacted by the floods. Before departing, Chada disclosed his contribution of relief supplies, which includes dried food, 60,000 eggs, four jet skis, and five flat-bottomed boats. Additionally, Ms. Sabida Thaiset, Minister of Culture, has mobilized the national jet ski team to facilitate the evacuation of residents. The Prime Minister is set to visit the area to oversee ongoing relief operations.

Chada emphasized the importance of a coordinated response, advocating for a centralized data collection center to streamline efforts across sectors. He acknowledged the challenges posed by the sudden onset of the disaster, which may result in some individuals not receiving full assistance.

Addressing criticisms regarding the delay in establishing the Flood Emergency Operations Center, Mr. Chadchart noted that governments worldwide rarely receive praise in such situations. However, he expressed confidence that the government has already laid out plans to effectively manage the crisis, ensuring commendable responses once the situation is addressed.
