At approximately 4:00 p.m., a Chinese man went berserk, carrying a knife, and entered a convenience store at the entrance of Soi Si Muang Anusorn in the Sutthisan area, which is only 400 meters from Sutthisan Police Station. A Chinese man walked into a convenience store holding a knife, holding his passport, and using a translation app on his phone. He spoke Chinese and showed it to a female convenience store clerk, saying that someone was going to kidnap him for ransom. The man's eyes were dazed, similar to someone hallucinating, and he wouldn't let men approach him, except for women. The convenience store clerk decided to call 191. The police had to charge in. As the police charged in, the Chinese man fought back, causing the tip of the knife to hit one officer's mouth and injure the other. Another officer was also injured in the neck. About 3-4 helpful citizens who witnessed the incident came to his aid and helped capture the Chinese man. There was no punching or beating as previously reported. After the incident, the police took the man into custody and took him to Sutthisan Police Station. The latest investigation found that the Chinese man who caused the incident was Mr. Yang Jinsim. He was initially taken into custody in the detention room.
