Bangkok: Chulalongkorn University has partnered with Thai Airways to sign a cooperation agreement aimed at promoting and developing educational potential, as well as exchanging knowledge to create value for organizations and society. The collaboration plans to introduce an online course available on board flights, titled 'Knowledge of the Sky for the Thai People.'
According to Thai News Agency, Chulalongkorn University and Thai Airways International Public Company Limited hosted a signing ceremony for this new partnership, which focuses on promoting and developing educational potential through various activities aimed at sustainable development at organizational, national, and international levels. Prof. Dr. Wilert Phuriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, and Mr. Chai Iamsiri, CEO of Thai Airways, jointly signed the agreement.
Prof. Dr. Phuriwat emphasized that the collaboration seeks to enhance cooperation in education, research, innovation development, and knowledge exchange between the education and business sectors. This initiative aligns with societal and technological changes and aims to create value for organizations and society. The partnership will support human resource development, lifelong learning, and skill improvement for personnel, students, and the public. Both entities will work together to develop learning media and training through various activities, with a focus on creating new value for organizations and society in the long term. The cooperation will also support the establishment of agencies, courses, or projects that aim to develop professions, services, and related industries, including the launch of online courses on long-haul flights. Students completing these courses will receive a certificate.
