Bangkok: “Chusak” has highlighted the authority of the House Speaker in determining the inclusion of a censure motion. Chusak Sirinil, who serves as the Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office and the Deputy Leader of the Pheu Thai Party, discussed the situation following an order from Mr. Wan Muhammad Noor Matha, the Speaker of the House. The order directed the opposition to amend their no-confidence motion. Chusak noted that it ultimately falls within the Speaker’s discretion to decide whether the motion should be included.
According to Thai News Agency, Chusak expressed that after the Speaker’s directive to amend the motion, compliance was expected. He suggested that discussions should have been held to reach a consensus on the matter.
