Discuss and push for negotiations to release the remaining Thai hostages


Qatar, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs meets with Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs to push for negotiations to release the remaining six Thai hostages.

Mr. Rasm Chaleechan, Assistant Minister to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with HE Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, to exchange views on the conflict situation in the Middle East, especially in Gaza. The Assistant Minister to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised Qatar for its important role in driving the ceasefire negotiation process between Israel and Hamas, and requested assistance from Qatar in finding a way to release the remaining 6 hostages from various countries, especially Thailand, in Gaza as soon as possible. They also discussed the possibility of participating in the reconstruction of Gaza after the conflict ends, including cooperation with Qatar for this purpose, to which Qatar responded to support Thailand’s wishes, as Thailand is an important friendly co
untry and has no involvement in the conflict.

In addition, both sides discussed other important bilateral issues, such as the exchange of high-level visits, the first Political Consultation, which Thailand is ready to host, as well as cooperation in multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations and the ACD framework, etc.
