Bangkok: The Economic Journalists Association has announced the formation of its new committee for 2025, with Duangporn Udomtip continuing as president for a second term. She aims to advance the association’s mission of enhancing professional skills and creating knowledge for its members and partners.
According to Thai News Agency, the announcement followed the association’s 2024/2025 annual general meeting held on February 28, 2025. The meeting served to certify the association’s performance over the past year and to elect a new board of directors. Duangporn Udomtip was re-elected to continue leading initiatives that benefit both members and society, with a focus on upgrading professional skills and knowledge to keep pace with current and future changes.
The newly elected board for 2025 includes several prominent figures in the field. Ms. Duangporn Udomthip from Thai Rath Newspaper will serve as President. Ms. Suwan Khamkhieo from Than Hoon Newspaper was named Vice President 1, and Mr. Krit Rawiwan from Radio Thailand will take on the role of Vice President 2. The board also includes Ms. Yaowalak Boranmun from Thai News Agency, MCOT, as Secretary-General, and Ms. Wutthini Thapthong from Prachachat Business Newspaper as Treasurer, among others.
The Economic Journalists Association, established on November 13, 1978, now boasts 507 members from 114 organizations. As it steps into its 47th year, the association remains committed to working collaboratively with its members and allied organizations to contribute positively to the country’s economy.
