Bangkok: Election Commission announces approval of "Phaithoon Isaraseripong" as Bangkok City Council member, Nong Chok District, replacing the vacant position.
According to Thai News Agency, the Election Commission has considered and resolved to announce the results of the election for the Bangkok Metropolitan Council member for Nong Chok District to fill the vacant position. This decision was made in accordance with Section 17 of the Local Government or Local Administration Election Act B.E. 2562 and its amendments, thereby appointing Mr. Paitoon Issaraseripong as the Bangkok Metropolitan Council member for Nong Chok District.
The election process for the Bangkok City Council members in Nong Chok District was initially declared on May 18th by the Director of Local Elections of Bangkok. However, it is important to note that the announcement of the election results does not limit the Election Commission's authority to investigate, inquire, or make decisions if there is reasonable suspicion regarding the integrity or fairness of the election.
