Ayutthaya: Senator Sunthorn Chaowakitkha has acknowledged the charges in the senator collusion case but maintains his innocence, asserting compliance with the constitution. The Election Commission reported allegations of receiving benefits from collusion in Ayutthaya Province.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Sunthorn traveled to acknowledge the charges before the 26th Investigation and Inquiry Committee. He stated that he arrived at 10:00 a.m. and expressed confidence in his innocence, emphasizing that his actions were in accordance with the constitution.
The initial accusation from the Election Commission involves an alleged act of receiving benefits from the collusion process among senators. The charges stem from a meeting in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, although Senator Sunthorn claims he has not visited the province in over a decade.
