Factory Foreman in Rayong Province Fatally Attacked by Unknown Gunmen

Rayong: The head of a renowned factory in Rayong Province was shot and killed in a shocking attack on his home, leaving the door riddled with bullets and damaging his car. Police are actively investigating the case but have withheld potential motives to avoid compromising the investigation.

According to Thai News Agency, surveillance cameras inside the victim's residence in the Map Ta Phut subdistrict captured the moment of the attack. The footage shows the perpetrators firing into the home, with bullets penetrating the door and striking a Toyota Alphard parked in the garage. Fortunately, no family members were harmed during the incident.

The attack took place at a residence on the Nong Saphan - Map Kha road, Village 1, Map Kha Subdistrict, Nikhom Phatthana District, Rayong Province, around 9 p.m. last night. Upon arrival, officers from the Nikhom Phatthana Police Station and forensic teams discovered bullet damage to the house and the parked vehicle. They collected ten 9 mm bullet casings from the scene as evidence.

CCTV footage revealed that two attackers approached the residence on a motorcycle from Nong Saphan Subdistrict, Ban Khai District. They circled the area before opening fire into the garage and fleeing towards Map Kha Subdistrict, Nikhom Phatthana District.

Pol Lt Col Pichet Sirinan, deputy chief of investigation at Nikhom Phatthana Police Station, indicated that the investigation has ruled out motives related to personal relationships or work conflicts. However, they are considering two possible causes but are not disclosing them to protect the integrity of the case. The investigation team is reviewing CCTV footage to trace the perpetrators' movements and escape route.

The factory foreman, who was home with his family during the attack, reported that they were preparing for bed when gunfire erupted. He quickly secured his wife and child in a safe location. After the shooting stopped, they found the vehicle had been hit twice. The foreman maintained that he had no known disputes or adversaries, leaving the reason for the attack a mystery.
