Floodwater Renders Highways Impassable Across 10 Provinces

Bangkok: Highways in 10 provinces have been submerged, causing traffic disruptions in 11 places.

According to Thai News Agency, the Department of Highways (DOH) reported that their summary of the flood situation on November 29, 2025, revealed extensive flooding affecting the highways. Officials have been deployed around the clock to manage traffic flow, utilizing heavy machinery and safety equipment to assist residents in flood-affected areas. This includes the use of forklifts, rescue equipment, and the transportation of flood victims from at-risk areas to safe shelters. Efforts are underway to restore transportation infrastructure and alleviate the hardship caused by the floods.

The Department of Highways detailed the specific areas impacted by the flood and landslide situation. In Chiang Mai Province, Highway 1012, from Hot - Wang Lung - Ban Na Kho Ruea, between km 7+400 to 14+200, has been reported as impassable. Narathiwat Province faces similar challenges on Highway 4062 at Km. 32+600 - 32+610 in Sukirin District.

Songkhla Province has two impassable locations: Highway 4085 from Km. 20+300 to 21+000 in Thepha District, and Highway 4145 at Km. 1+210 in Sadao District. Pattani Province presents the most significant disruption with four impassable locations: Highway 43 at Km. 97+127 - 97+252 in Nong Chik District, Highway 410 from Km. 2+560 to 4+900 in Muang Pattani District, Highway 4075 from Km. 0+000 to 7+000 in Yaring District, and Highway 4092 at Km. 21+075 in Thung Yang Daeng District.

In Trang Province, Highway 4276 from Km. 0+300 to 4+700 in Huai Yot District is not passable. Phatthalung Province faces issues on Highway 4181 at Km. 19+945 in Pak Phayun District, while Yala Province reports Highway 4060 at Km. 25+300 to 25+350 in Raman District as impassable.
