CCTV captured the incident yesterday at approximately 12:50 AM. The perpetrator drove a white sedan and rear-ended the deceased's car before he heard her pleading for her life. The perpetrator then grabbed a gun and fired before driving away. At 1:30 AM, Pak Kret Police Station officers received a report of a man being shot and killed in Soi Ton Son 15, Pak Kret Subdistrict, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province. They rushed to the scene along with doctors and volunteers from the Por Tek Tung Foundation.

According to Thai News Agency, at the scene, beside the car, the body of a man was found. He was identified as Mr. Wirawat or Num, 40 years old, an employee of a bank. He had been shot multiple times with an automatic gun of unknown caliber, causing his right arm to be broken and deformed. He was lying in a pool of blood next to a black car, which had signs of being hit and had a broken bumper. Thirteen bullet casings were found at the scene. The perpetrator was a close friend, identified as Mr. Sitthiphong or Max, 41 years old, who drove away.

From questioning Mr. Ohm, the deceased's friend who was in the car with him, it was learned that the perpetrator and the deceased had been close friends for over 10 years and worked together. They talked about everything before the incident at around 8:00 p.m. The perpetrator, the deceased, and a group of work friends went out to drink alcohol together. The perpetrator then warned the deceased about having an affair at work because the deceased already had a wife. This caused the two to argue and fight, causing the perpetrator to suffer a fractured eyebrow. Then at 12:30 a.m., the two went their separate ways. The perpetrator chased and hit the deceased's car, which had a friend in it, before pulling out a gun and shooting the deceased, killing him instantly, and fleeing the scene.

At 2:30 p.m., the family, relatives, and wife of the deceased traveled to the scene and invited a monk to perform a ceremony to invite the spirit. In the ceremony, stir-fried rice with holy basil, dessert, and red water were placed as offerings, along with lighting 9 incense sticks, 1 candle, and pouring water according to beliefs to send the spirit of the deceased to a good place. Amidst the atmosphere of sadness, relatives traveled to join the ceremony with condolences. The family will take the body back to Wat Sai Yai, Tambon Sai Noi, Amphoe Sai Noi, Nonthaburi Province for chanting before cremation on May 6, 2025.

Ms. Paew, 41, the deceased's wife, who arrived at the scene, said that she had talked to her husband in the early evening before he called to say that he had gone to a bar. A female friend called to invite her, claiming to be a work friend. She was not sure if it was the same person who was in the car when the incident occurred because she did not know him. As for Mr. Mac, the perpetrator, he was a close friend of her husband. They often invited each other to drink together. She did not know the reason why the incident occurred.

Police investigators from Region 1, together with the investigation officers from the Doembang Nangbuat Police Station in Suphan Buri Province, were able to arrest Mr. Sitthiphong or Max, aged 41 (the perpetrator), in front of a hotel in Tambon Nangbuat, Amphoe Doembang Nangbuat, Suphan Buri Province. Initially, the officers pressed four charges against him: premeditated murder, possession of a firearm and ammunition without permission, carrying a firearm in a public place without permission, and firing a gun in a city, village, or community without good reason. He was then taken to Pak Kret Police Station for further legal proceedings.

Later, Pol. Col. Kittithanet Thanananthavisin, Commander of Nonthaburi Provincial Police, along with the Investigation Division of Nonthaburi Provincial Police, took Mr. Sitthiphong (the suspect) to reenact the crime scene to support his confession. While the officers were taking Mr. Sitthiphong to reenact the crime scene, he had a serious face and kept his head down the entire time. The news team tried to ask him about the motive for the crime. Mr. Sitthiphong only revealed that they had a fight before the problem continued until the scene of the crime. At that time, he could not remember how many shots were fired. After the shooting, he drove up Rama IV Bridge to Suphan Buri Province to escape. The gun belonged to his father, a former police officer, and he brought it to carry with him. He insisted that the incident had nothing to do with love affairs and was sorry for what happened.

Pol. Col. Kittithanet, Commander of Nonthaburi Provincial Police, revealed that from the interrogation, the suspect confessed that at the time of the incident, he was drunk and unconscious, so he used the gun that belonged to his father to shoot the deceased. After the incident, he tried to escape to Suphan Buri Province, but his car broke down in Bang Len, Nakhon Pathom Province because it had hit the deceased's car, causing the engine to overheat. The suspect contacted his father to come and pick him up, and he was arrested. The cause is believed to have been an argument. Further investigation will be conducted to determine whether the gun is registered before the case is quickly concluded to request permission to detain.

The latest update, at 8:00 a.m., officers took the suspect into custody and took him to Nonthaburi Provincial Court for detention.
