Government Plans First Cabinet Meeting Outside Bangkok in Hat Yai

Hat yai: The government is making arrangements to conduct its first cabinet meeting outside of Bangkok, choosing Hat Yai as the venue at the end of August. This decision follows discussions with the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) to finalize the meeting agenda.

According to Thai News Agency, the Cabinet Secretary is organizing the inaugural mobile Cabinet meeting in Hat Yai District, which was initially postponed from its scheduled date. Discussions are ongoing with the Secretary-General of the NESDC to establish an agenda that focuses on bringing benefits to the local area.

Today at Government House, Ms. Natthajaree Anantasilsin, Secretary-General of the Cabinet, provided updates on the Cabinet meeting's progress. Initially planned for June 8-9 in Hat Yai, Songkhla, the meeting will now take place later this month, likely around August 31st. The discussions with the NESDC aim to ensure that the meeting agenda aligns with regional development goals.
