Bangkok: The Meteorological Department reveals that some areas of northern Thailand will continue to experience heavy rain, while the southern region will face thunderstorms.
According to Thai News Agency, the upper part of Thailand is expected to see persistent heavy rainfall, and the southern areas will be affected by thunderstorms. The Andaman Sea is forecasted to have waves reaching up to 2 meters in height.
The Meteorological Department has cautioned residents in the affected northern and southern regions to be vigilant due to the potential dangers posed by heavy rain. This weather pattern is attributed to the moderate southwest monsoon impacting the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, coupled with a low-pressure cell located over northern Vietnam.
In the Andaman Sea, wave conditions are moderate, with the upper part experiencing waves around 2 meters high. In areas with thunderstorms, waves may exceed this height. As a result, sailors navigating the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand are advised to exercise caution and avoid areas experiencing thunderstorms to ensure safety.
