Bang bua thong: This morning at Bang Bua Thong police station, police were shocked when the husband who murdered his wife and carried her body into a car turned himself in.
According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Col. Tharsakorn Konthong, Superintendent of Bang Bua Thong Police Station, received a report that a man named Winai, 42 years old, drove a car and parked in front of the police station with the body of a woman, identified as Ms. Joy, 44 years old, and surrendered himself to the police. He admitted to physically assaulting Ms. Joy, resulting in her death.
Upon inspecting the interior of the vehicle, police found the body of Ms. Joy sitting in the front passenger seat, lying face up. She was wearing a gray t-shirt and shorts. Her face was severely bruised and swollen, especially around her right eye socket. Meanwhile, Mr. Winai, the perpetrator, was standing in front of the car waiting to surrender, amidst the panic of the local residents who had gathered to report the incident at the police station.
Mr. Winai told police that the deceased was his legal wife, with whom he had been in a relationship for about a year. Before the incident, they had an argument about infidelity, as he had discovered she was having an affair with a motorcycle taxi driver who worked with Ms. Joy. He also stated that they had encountered similar problems two or three times before.
Mr. Winai, the perpetrator, also claimed that before assaulting Ms. Joy, he witnessed her having a relationship with the other man, which caused him to become enraged. During an argument with Ms. Joy in their room, he assaulted her with his bare hands, without using any weapons, until she died. He then decided to drive the body to the police station to surrender and apologized to the victim's family for what happened.
However, there was a perplexing development. While officers were verifying information in front of the police station, a woman arrived and claimed to be Mr. Winai's "first wife." She briefly revealed that after Mr. Winai argued with the deceased, he video-called her and recounted the incident, so she suggested he turn himself in.
Initially, police are thoroughly questioning the perpetrator and coordinating with forensic officers and doctors from the Institute of Forensic Medicine to examine the body in order to proceed with legal action.
