Bangkok: Urgent applications are now open for Thai men seeking free internships in Japan through IM Japan, aimed at enhancing skills in manufacturing and construction industries.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Sasikarn Wattanachan, the Deputy Government Spokesperson, announced that the Department of Employment is recruiting individuals for technical internships in Japan for the year 2026, round 1 (male). The application period is from September 1-30, 2025, with no application fee required.
Successful applicants will benefit from free round-trip airfare upon completing three years of training, free accommodation, utilities, an initial allowance of 80,000 yen, and a salary not less than the Japanese minimum wage from the second month onward. Additionally, they will receive a certificate of employment and a career support fund upon returning to Thailand.
Applicants must be Thai males aged 18-30, with specific educational qualifications, good health, and no criminal record. The selection process includes a physical fitness and Japanese language test, with results announced on October 10, 2025, on various official platforms.
Interested individuals can apply online round-the-clock and seek further information through multiple contact points, including provincial employment offices and hotlines. Ms. Sasikarn emphasized the government's commitment to supporting Thai workers in gaining global experience and securing a sustainable future.
