King and Queen Grant Audiences at Dusit Palace

Bangkok: His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen granted audiences today at Amporn Sathan Throne Hall, Dusit Palace, to several key figures, including Mr. Patricio Powell Osorio, Ambassador of the Republic of Chile to Thailand, who was bidding farewell upon the completion of his term. Mr. Osorio had previously presented his credentials on January 28, 2024, and was honored with a royal audience at 5:11 PM.

According to Thai News Agency, the royal couple subsequently welcomed Mr. Adisak Tantivong, President of the Supreme Court, accompanied by the 82nd class of judges. These judges were present to swear an oath of office before assuming their responsibilities. The ceremony was attended by notable officials, including Mr. Teerathai Charoenwong, Secretary-General of the Office of the Judiciary, Mr. Kriengkrai Chanyamun, Secretary-General to the President of the Supreme Court, and Mr. Isra Wannasawat, Secretary-General of the Judicial Civil Service Development Institute.

During this occasion, His Majesty the King delivered a royal address to the judges, emphasizing the importance of their role in ensuring justice. His Majesty congratulated the judges and reminded them of their duty to protect the innocent and offer those who have erred an opportunity for reflection and change. His Majesty encouraged the judges to diligently fulfill their responsibilities and expressed wishes for their happiness and success in their new roles.
