After the election committee closed the polls today at 5:00 PM, the atmosphere during the counting of votes for the constituency and party-list MPs at polling station 6, Village 4, at the cafeteria of Ban Sala School, Tha Wang Thong Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phayao Province, Constituency 1, was orderly. The number of citizens observing the vote count was relatively low, with most observers being members of the media and related officials.
After the election committee at each polling station has finished counting the votes, they will send the official results to the Mueang Phayao District Office for compilation and reporting according to procedure.
Meanwhile, Ms. Panadda Chanchotiyanan, the Election Commission Director of Phayao Province, stated that the election proceeded smoothly, with 227 people casting their votes out of 439 eligible voters, representing 51.7%.
The vote count for the constituency-based MPs shows that 227 people cast their votes. There were 196 valid ballots, 11 invalid ballots, and 20 blank ballots. The leading candidate is Mr. Akkra Phromphao, number 3, from the Kla Tham Party, with 144 votes. Second place goes to Mr. Wisa Boonnatda from the Prachachon Party, with 42 votes.
For the party-list MPs, 227 people cast their votes. Of these, 205 were valid ballots, 9 were invalid, and 13 were blank. The Kla Tham Party received 115 votes, followed by the Prachachon Party in second place with 48 votes.
