Bangkok: Warning! A man wearing a rider’s shirt pretended to ask for directions before taking the opportunity to steal 400-500 baht from the temple fair money and then rode away on a motorcycle. Surveillance cameras captured the incident on the morning of March 9th when a man dressed in a rider’s uniform parked his car at the Than Mit Sahai Disaster Relief Volunteer Center on the Bang Khun Non railway track and walked in to steal money donated to the temple fair fund before fleeing.
According to Thai News Agency, reporters went to the scene of the incident in the Bang Khun Non area of Bangkok. Mr. Kittimes, the leader of the Mitsahai base, said that before the incident, he had placed the alms bowl on the side of the road by the blue tent to invite people to donate to buy coffins and repair Wat Thung Khen, Thung Khok Subdistrict, Song Phi Nong District, Suphan Buri Province. During that time, a man wearing a rider’s uniform rode a motorcycle. He was dressed in a rider’s uniform, wore a black jacket, long black jeans, and sneakers, and parked at the tent. He pretended to ask for directions before taking the opportunity to take 400-500 baht from the alms bowl and drove away.
Initially, they went to file a complaint at Bang Khun Non Metropolitan Police Station and demanded that the donation money be returned. Bang Khun Non Police Station accepted the case and sent a team of detectives to the area to track down the culprit and bring them to justice.
