Ministry of Foreign Affairs Extends Condolences Over Air India Crash, Confirms No Thai Nationals Aboard

Bangkok: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its condolences following the crash of an Air India flight, with officials confirming that no Thai nationals were on board.

According to Thai News Agency, Air India flight AI 171, which was operating on the Ahmedabad-London route, encountered an accident during takeoff. The incident involved 230 passengers and 12 crew members.

Mr. Nikorndej Plangoon, Director-General of the Department of Information and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai has conducted a thorough check of the passenger list and confirmed the absence of Thai nationals on the flight. The Ministry has expressed its sympathies in light of the unfortunate event.
