Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Invites Thai Children to ‘Have Fun and Change the World’ with Free Zoo and Museum Entries

Bangkok: The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) spreads joy for Children's Day 2026, inviting Thai children to recharge their energy by caring for nature through the "Fun to Change the World" campaign, offering the gift of free entry to zoos and museums nationwide.

According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Raveewan Phuridej, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, extended her best wishes to Thai youth on the occasion of National Children's Day 2026, emphasizing the Prime Minister's Children's Day motto: "Love Thailand, Care for the World." This aims to instill in children and youth a sense of pride in their Thai identity, coupled with an awareness of their responsibility towards the environment and adaptation to climate change, thereby empowering them to become the main force in sustainably managing natural resources.

Dr. Raveewan revealed that this year, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is organizing activities under the concept of "Fun to Change the World" at the fountain area in front of the Santi Maitri Building, Government House, on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 8:00 AM onwards. The aim is for this year's Children's Day to be more than just a day out, but a first step for children to experience the importance of nature through creative and hands-on activities. The event will feature learning activities and opportunities to win prizes, such as a waste sorting game, a fun botanical game, and a forest-themed activity. This aims to deliver happiness while fostering environmental awareness.

In addition, the Ministry is offering a special gift to expand learning opportunities for children and youth in the provinces by providing free entry to seven zoos nationwide for children under 135 centimeters tall or under 12 years old. These zoos include Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Chiang Mai Zoo, Nakhon Ratchasima Zoo, Songkhla Zoo, Ubon Ratchathani Zoo, Khon Kaen Zoo, and the Elephant Kingdom Project in Surin Province, from January 10-11, 2026. Furthermore, free entry to all five geological museums and the Phuket Aquarium will be offered on Saturday, January 10, 2026, to cultivate environmental awareness and allow children to connect with natural resources in their local areas.
