Bangkok: Noparat Panichphol fought back with three late birdies to successfully defend his Thailand PGA Tour title in Prachinburi. According to Thai News Agency, Noparat Panichphol, a 27-year-old professional golfer from Sa Kaeo province, showcased an outstanding performance in the final round, making three consecutive birdies on the last three holes before finishing with a total score of 20 under par to win the Thailand PGA Tour's "Singha-SAT Prachinburi Championship 2026" and successfully defend his title at the Kabinburi Sport Club (KBSC) in Prachinburi province. The young pro from Sa Kaeo, who started the final round one stroke behind the leader, carded six birdies before closing out with three birdies in the final three holes to snatch the championship with a total score of 20 under par, narrowly defeating Phattaraphol Khantacha by just one stroke. He also received a prize of 240,000 baht and secured his second Thailand PGA Tour victory. After the competition, Nopparat revealed that he was delighted t o have performed better than his target and set his sights on defending his championship title next year. He attributed his approach shots and chipping around the green to key factors in this week's success. This performance confirms Nopparat Panichphol's strength as the reigning champion, demonstrating his ability to maintain a high standard of play and reclaim the championship amidst intense competition until the final hole.
